1929 Durant D60 with Mifflinburg body
Don Shilling, Texarkana, Texas
This 1929 Durant D60 came with what is thought to be a Mifflinburg body. This car was purchased new from the Michigan factory as a "cowl chassis" and sent to Pennsylvania to have the body installed. It has never been restored and was parked in 1991, with 56,000 miles on it, to have the engine rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt as a short block but never fully assembled and installed. Work is progressing to finish the engine and get it back in operation.
One interesting note is that a cabin heater has been installed but doors have never been installed!
